Non-Custodial Design

Ozyon never holds your funds. Here's how our security model works.

What Non-Custodial Means

Custodial (CEX): You deposit funds to the exchange. They hold your tokens in their wallets. You trust them not to lose, freeze, or steal your assets.

Non-Custodial (Ozyon): Your tokens go directly from your wallet to smart contracts or bridges. Ozyon never has access to your private keys or custody of your assets.

How Swaps Work Securely

Connected Wallet Swaps

  1. You approve token spending in your wallet
  2. You sign the swap transaction
  3. Smart contract executes the swap atomically
  4. Tokens arrive at your destination

At no point does Ozyon hold your tokens. The swap is either complete or reverted - no in-between state where we control your assets.

No-Wallet Mode

  1. You send to a deposit address
  2. Funds are locked in a smart contract (not Ozyon's wallet)
  3. Contract executes swap automatically
  4. Tokens sent to your destination

Even in No-Wallet Mode, funds flow through contracts - not Ozyon accounts.

Smart Contract Security

Our integrations use battle-tested protocols:

  • deBridge - Audited by multiple firms
  • LiFi - Established cross-chain infrastructure
  • Jupiter - Solana's leading aggregator
  • Squads V4 - Industry-standard multisig (where applicable)

What We Can't Do

Ozyon cannot:

  • Access your wallet without your signature
  • Reverse completed transactions
  • Freeze your assets
  • Require identity verification
  • Report your transactions to authorities

Your Responsibilities

Non-custodial means you are responsible for:

  • Securing your private keys / seed phrase
  • Verifying destination addresses
  • Approving correct transaction amounts
  • Protecting your wallet from phishing

Best Practices

  1. Never share your seed phrase - Not even with "Ozyon support"
  2. Verify URLs - Always check you're on ozyonexchange.com
  3. Use hardware wallets - For large holdings
  4. Review before signing - Check transaction details in your wallet
